Baba Yetu

Bring the soaring energy of Christopher Tin’s masterpiece to your treble ensemble with this stunning, powerful arrangement. Originally written as the iconic theme for the video game Civilization IV and featured in Tin’s Grammy-winning album Calling All Dawns, "Baba Yetu" is an extraordinary setting of the Lord's Prayer in Swahili. This meticulously crafted arrangement captures the grand scale of Tin’s original orchestral setting through rich, rhythmically driving treble voices. To beautifully complement the bright textures of the SSAA harmony and fill out the low tones, a lyrical, resonant cello part has been woven into the fabric of the piece.

The prominent solo part offers wonderful performance flexibility. Written in the treble clef, it is perfectly suited for a strong alto with a commanding belt, but it can easily be sung an octave higher by a soprano, or even featured as a guest tenor solo to suit your ensemble's unique strengths.

🥁 Enhance Your Performance: An optional MP3 percussion backing track is also available for purchase, adding an extra layer of cinematic drive and rhythmic energy to your live performance
